“Coastal Border”- Boxhead Ensemble

There are instances throughout this song that feel improvisational, where each note lingers in the air- not in a fragmented way, but with deliberation, like a verse of poetry.

Battles
Inchworm

Not exactly post rock, but it’s Battles, and who doesn’t need more Battles on their dashboard?  NO ONE.  Watch these guys live.  At their show you’ll have the desire to dance and smooch Ian Williams, and their stage presence will keep you so enthralled that a 2.5 hour performance will just fly by.

Something for Chicago

Before Broken Social Scene there was K.C. Accidental.  The K stands for Kevin Drew, and the C stands for Mr. Charles Spearin. Together they released two records under the name- Anthems For Could’ve Been Pills and Captured Anthems for an Empty Bathtub.  Both albums are purely instrumental and overall, quite mellow.
